Structured Cabling & Wireless
Everything else on this site runs on cable. We pull, terminate and test copper cabling, build the conduit and the rooms it runs to, and install the switches, wireless access points and cell-signal systems that go with it.
Scope of work
Each part of the system, and what we do on it.
| Part | What we do |
|---|---|
| Copper cabling | Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6A pulled, terminated and labelled for cameras, doors, desks and access points |
| Testing | Every permanent link tested on a calibrated certifier, with the reports handed over |
| Conduit | EMT, rigid and threaded conduit, including large trunk runs outdoors and around obstructions |
| Networking | Switches and network setup for the systems we install, coordinated with your IT team where you have one |
| Wireless | Wireless access points placed and cabled for the building you have, from office floors to high-bay warehouses |
| Cell signal | Distributed antenna systems that bring outside cell signal into buildings that block it |
| Rooms and racks | Racks, wall cabinets, patch panels, cable management and UPS in closets and network rooms |
| Documentation | Labels, as-builts, switch and port records, and cable test reports at handover |
The final scope follows the drawings, the site walk and what each trade supplies.
Rigid conduit
We run rigid, threaded and large trunk conduit, which many low-voltage shops won't take on. Rigid pipe has to be threaded on site and planned around every obstruction, with offsets where space is tight. Outdoors and in industrial buildings, it is often what the job calls for.
Cell signal inside the building
Concrete, steel and coated glass block cell signal. A distributed antenna system picks up the signal outside, then carries it through the building to antennas in the ceiling, so dead zones fill in without changing carriers.
