Commercial Intrusion Alarm Systems
An intrusion alarm tells you when someone enters a building or a yard without permission. We install panels, keypads and sensors inside, and perimeter detection outside, set up so you know which zone went off.
Scope of work
Each part of the system, and what we do on it.
| Part | What we do |
|---|---|
| Panels | Alarm panels, keypads and zone expanders, with zones, users and arming schedules set up |
| Doors | Door contacts, and overhead-door contacts on roll-up and dock doors |
| Open areas | Motion detectors placed to cover the space without seeing heaters or vents |
| Panic buttons | Panic, hold-up and duress buttons at reception, cash areas and docks |
| Perimeter | Long-range motion detectors, photobeams and lasers across yards, driveways and gate openings |
| Fence detection | Distributed acoustic sensing: a fibre optic cable along the fence that senses someone climbing or cutting it |
| Access integration | Alarm zones and doors managed together, so a valid credential can disarm on the way in |
| Monitoring | Professional monitoring available through a monitoring partner |
The final scope follows the drawings, the site walk and what each trade supplies.
Protecting a yard or fence line
A large yard usually needs layers. Long-range motion detectors, photobeams and lasers cover open ground and the openings a fence can't close. Distributed acoustic sensing covers the fence itself.
With distributed acoustic sensing, a fibre optic cable runs along the fence from one end to the other. The system senses the vibration of someone climbing or cutting the fence, and it is tuned on site so wind and small animals don't set it off.
