Gate & Barrier Systems
MNB connects commercial vehicle entrances to the broader security system. We coordinate credentials, readers, operators, barrier equipment, vehicle detection, safety devices, pathways, and testing around the way traffic enters and exits the property.
Project fit
Where this scope fits.
Bring MNB in during planning, tender, active construction, or an owner-led upgrade. The first review establishes field conditions, interfaces, and the useful next step.
- Industrial yards, parking entrances, and secured compounds
- Commercial vehicle and staff parking controls
- Gate access added to an existing credential system
- Replacement or modernization of entry controls
Installation scope
What the work can include.
Final inclusions follow the drawings, site review, selected systems, and trade split. A typical gates & barriers scope can cover:
- 01
Gate operators and barrier-arm control interfaces
- 02
Long-range, card, fob, and keypad readers
- 03
Vehicle loops, presence detection, and exit devices
- 04
Photo-eye and safety-device wiring
- 05
Access-control and intercom integration
- 06
Operating-sequence testing and turnover
Coordination
Define the interfaces early.
Vehicle entries require close coordination between gate equipment, civil work, power, drainage, safety devices, traffic flow, and access-control logic. We define those interfaces before the work reaches the gate.
Commissioning and handoff
- Credential, free-exit, and operator sequences tested
- Presence and safety devices verified under operation
- Manual-release and basic operator workflow reviewed
- Interfaces and field devices clearly identified
Common questions
Before the project review.
These answers establish the typical path. Site conditions and the issued scope determine the final recommendation.
Can a gate use the same credentials as building doors?
Often, yes. It depends on the access platform, reader type, distance, and site connectivity. MNB reviews those conditions and commissions the final credential workflow.
Who handles concrete, trenching, and line power?
Those responsibilities vary by project. MNB identifies the required interfaces early and coordinates with the general contractor, electrician, civil contractor, or gate trade as applicable.
Can an intercom be included at the vehicle entrance?
Yes. We can coordinate visitor calling and entry release with the gate controls, provided the site has the required power, pathways, and connectivity.
